Terms of Service

Welcome to AskMarkets. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and AskMarkets and govern your access to and use of our websites, applications, charts, options-analytics, screening tools, APIs and related services (together, the “Platform”).

AskMarkets is operated by Sriram K S, a sole proprietor based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, who provides the Platform, is your contracting party, and is the seller of any paid plans. In these Terms, “AskMarkets”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to Sriram K S (sole proprietor).

Our order process and billing are conducted by a third-party payment provider acting as the Merchant of Record for all our orders, including orders from customers in India. This means the provider handles billing, payment and applicable taxes, its name (not ours) appears on your card or bank statement, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. The provider is identified, and its terms shown, at checkout before you pay. For refunds and cancellation, see section 9 below.

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

01About AskMarkets

AskMarkets provides software tools for analysing financial markets, including interactive charts, technical indicators, options-strategy analytics, probability and payoff visualisations, watchlists and an AI-assisted research copilot, across Indian and U.S. equities and crypto-asset markets. The Platform is an informational and analytical tool only. It does not execute trades, hold funds, securities or crypto-assets, and is not a trading, broking, exchange or custody service.

02Not investment advice

Nothing made available through the Platform — including data, charts, indicators, screens, scores, strategy payoffs, probabilities, AI-generated text, or any other content (together, “Content”) — constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting or any other professional advice, nor an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, derivative or financial instrument.

• AskMarkets is not registered as an investment adviser, research analyst, broker-dealer, stock broker or portfolio manager with any securities regulator (such as the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or FINRA, or any other authority), and does not provide personalised investment advice.
• All Content is provided for general information and educational purposes only and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. It must not be relied upon as the basis for any investment decision.
• You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions and for evaluating the merits and risks involved. You should consult a licensed or registered investment adviser and your own tax and legal advisers before acting.
• Trading and investing in financial markets — including equities, derivatives and crypto-assets — involves substantial risk, including the possible loss of some or all of your capital. Crypto-assets in particular are highly volatile and may be unregulated in your jurisdiction. Past performance — including any backtest, historical pattern or analog shown on the Platform — is not indicative of future results.

03Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws that apply to you, in order to use the Platform. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements and that your use complies with all laws and regulations applicable to you, including in your country of residence.

04Accounts & security

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@askmarkets.ai if you suspect any unauthorised use. You may not share, sell or transfer your account.

05Market data & accuracy

Market data, fundamentals, options chains and other data may be sourced from third-party providers and exchanges and may be delayed, end-of-day, indicative or illustrative. Some screens and mock-ups display demo or sample data for illustration. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or availability of any data, and the Platform is not intended for use as a real-time order-routing or execution system. Do not rely on the Platform for time-critical trading decisions.

06Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• scrape, crawl, harvest, mirror or systematically extract data or Content from the Platform, or redistribute, resell or sublicense it, except as expressly permitted;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the Platform, or circumvent any access, security or usage limits;
• use the Platform to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or to provide unlicensed investment advisory or broking services to third parties;
• introduce malware, overload or disrupt our infrastructure, or interfere with other users’ use of the Platform; or
• misrepresent AskMarkets Content as your own or as a recommendation endorsed by us.

07Intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, charts engine, text, graphics and trademarks, is owned by AskMarkets or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your own personal, non-commercial research. Any content you create (such as watchlists, layouts, saved screens or notes) remains yours; you grant us a licence to host and process it solely to operate and improve the Platform.

08Third-party services & links

The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services, including brokers, data vendors and analytics providers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their terms and privacy practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and governed by their terms.

09Plans, fees, payments & refunds

Parts of the Platform are currently offered free of charge during a preview. We may introduce paid plans and change features or pricing at any time. Where fees apply, the applicable plan details, billing cycle and any taxes will be shown before you subscribe.

A third-party payment provider acts as our Merchant of Record for all paid orders and handles billing, payment, sales tax/VAT/GST and related buyer support. Your card and bank-account details are handled by that provider, not by us, and your purchase may be billed in a foreign currency, with conversion and any cross-border charges applied by your bank or card issuer.

30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase. Request it through the payment provider’s buyer portal (linked from your receipt) or by emailing support@askmarkets.ai from your registered email address with your order details; as our Merchant of Record, the provider issues the refund to your original payment method.

Cancellation. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of your current billing period. After the 30-day window, fees already paid for the current period are non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law. Refunds are returned to your original payment method and may take a few business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

10Disclaimer of warranties

The Platform and all Content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any Content is accurate or will produce any particular result.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AskMarkets and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any trading or investment losses, lost profits, or loss of data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Platform or any Content, even if advised of the possibility. To the extent we are found liable, our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Platform in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100.

12Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AskMarkets from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your Content, or your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law.

13Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Platform or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will survive.

14Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Subject to any mandatory laws that apply to you, you agree that the competent courts of India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.

Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection laws of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement.
