Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AskMarkets — operated by Sriram K S, a sole proprietor based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (the data controller); together “AskMarkets”, “we”, “us” or “our” — collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our websites, apps and tools (the “Platform”). Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider acting as our Merchant of Record for all orders (including orders from customers in India, and identified at checkout). We handle personal data in line with applicable data-protection laws, which — depending on where you are located — may include India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU/UK GDPR.

01Scope

This Policy applies to personal data we process about visitors and registered users of the Platform. It does not apply to third-party services (such as brokers or data vendors) that you connect to or visit; their own privacy policies govern those.

02Information we collect

• Account information — such as your name, email address and password (stored in hashed form) when you register or sign in.
• Content you create — watchlists, saved screens, chart layouts, drawings, notes, preferences and prompts you enter into the AI copilot.
• Usage & device data — log data, IP address, browser and device type, pages and features used, and timestamps, collected automatically to operate and secure the Platform.
• Cookies & similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand usage (see below).
• Payment information — if you make a payment, the billing details needed to process it. Full card and bank-account details are handled by our payment processors and are not stored by us.
• Communications — messages you send us, including emails to support@askmarkets.ai and any feedback or support requests.

We do not require, and ask you never to share with us, your broking account password, trading PIN, OTPs or bank-account credentials.

03How we use your information

We use personal data to:

• provide, maintain and operate the Platform and your account;
• authenticate you, keep the Platform secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
• remember your settings and personalise your charts, screens and tools;
• analyse usage to fix bugs, improve performance and develop new features;
• respond to your enquiries and send you service-related communications; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

04Cookies & tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies (for example, to keep you signed in) and may use analytics cookies to understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Platform works.

05How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:

• Service providers (data processors) — trusted vendors who host our infrastructure, provide authentication, send email, and help us with analytics and market data, acting on our instructions under confidentiality obligations.
• Payment provider — when you pay, your transaction is processed by a third-party payment provider acting as our Merchant of Record for all orders (including orders from India), identified at checkout. That provider handles your card and bank-account details under its own privacy policy; we do not receive or store your full payment-instrument details.
• Legal & safety — where required by law, regulation, legal process or a governmental request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of AskMarkets, our users or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

06Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

07Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls — to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of significant incidents as required by law.

08Your rights & choices

Subject to the data-protection laws that apply to you (such as the GDPR, India’s DPDP Act, or other applicable laws), you may have the right to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. To make a request, email us at support@askmarkets.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can also delete most of your saved content from within the Platform.

09Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10Data storage & transfers

Your data may be stored and processed on servers operated by our cloud providers, which may be located outside your country. Where data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it is protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

11Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
